Instead of a meeting in April, we will be attending the Brisbane City Council, Carseldine Cooling our Community street tree planting event.
Street tree planting event details:
Carseldine has been identified as having low shade cover and a population vulnerable to hot weather. Your neighbourhood will greatly benefit from more street and park trees, providing footpath shading, improved community health and wellbeing, and increased property values.
Join us and your neighbours at the Cooling our Community Carseldine event to plant trees in your local streets and help grow our urban forest. As a thank you for participating on the day you will receive free native plants for your garden.
Wear sturdy cover shoes, hat and sun protection, and bring along a re-fillable drink bottle. Street tree holes will be dug beforehand, all tools provided and Council will maintain the trees throughout their lives.
Please come along. Even if you don’t plant, come along for some great discussions about our streets and how we can all work together to make them cooler and increase biodiversity.
